The Mount Pleasant Makers Mart is gearing up to be one of the most exciting recurring events in the Lowcountry. Held at Park West Recreation Complex, this community gathering celebrates everything we love about Mount Pleasant - creativity, local pride, delicious food and live entertainment.
Local Business Opening:
Taziki’s Mediterranean Café is bringing its modern take on Mediterranean to Mount Pleasant with a new location set to open in early summer. Located at 1710 Shoremeade Road, Ste. 450, across the street from Lowe’s Home Improvement and next to REI Co-op, the restaurant will include a large community table, outdoor patio seating, and convenient pickup shelves for To-Go orders.
General News
The drainage project in Old Village of Mount Pleasant is now in limbo after $5.5 million in federal funding was pulled. The mayor said the town now must find another source, like the state, come up with the millions internally by pulling from other projects, or try and complete what is possible with only its $3 million share. |
