Resurfacing of Long Point Road to Begin

  • As part of the Charleston County’s ongoing Resurfacing Plan, crews will begin resurfacing a portion of Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant on Sunday, March 9. Work will be completed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays to minimize disruption and is expected to be completed in mid-April.

Funded by the Charleston County Transportation Committee, this project includes milling and replacing 4 inches of asphalt on Long Point Road between Highway 17 North and Lillie and Rebecca Lane, which will improve safety and increase the life span of the roadway.
