Attention Local Artists |

The Town of Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts & Pride Commission would like to invite all local artists within the tri-county area to submit your application to our Traffic Box Art program. While we accept proposals year-round, the deadline to apply for the next phase is Thursday, September 25.
The CAP Commissioners are looking for a variety of different kinds of art that invokes the spirit of our Mount Pleasant community. Selected artists will receive a $250 honorarium in addition to their artwork being displayed on existing traffic boxes throughout Mount Pleasant.
Applications and guidelines are available at www.tompsc.com or follow the link below. Eligible artists must live in either Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester County. Pictured Art by Lauren DeMarco.

Lucy Beckham High School team up

In a partnership with the Exceptional Education Department at Lucy Beckham High School, the Bengal Bistro Pop-Up opened at Mount Pleasant Town Hall! This allows these students to gain valuable work experience and to showcase their skills in a professional environment.
We celebrated their first day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Town representatives and staff visited the pop up to help the students learn customer services skills, handle financial transactions, and interact with customers.
