3. Abbracci: the newcomer with housemade pasta
Italian with Lowcountry influences in north Mount Pleasant. Charleston City Paper put it on its May 2026 Hot List, calling it an upscale Italian restaurant with fresh, housemade pasta. Reservations are on Resy, and there's a bar happy hour Wednesday through Sunday, 4 to 6.

4. Woodhaven Pizza: NY-style pizza and takeout
New York-inspired pizza and red-sauce classics, using recipes from Barcelona's Pizzeria in New Jersey, which dates to 1933. It swept several 2026 reader categories, and there's a weekday happy hour from 4 to 6.

8. Coastal Crust: wood-fired pizza outdoors
Neapolitan-style pizza from an oak-fired oven running above 700°F. All seating is outdoors, first-come, first-served, next to an antique-truck playground, which makes it an easy pick with kids. Pizza only, no pasta.
