Summit Worx has donated thousands of dollars in air conditioning units for a program helping seniors.

Summit Worx of Mount Pleasant presented 40 air conditioning units to State Rep. Wendell Gilliard for Project Cool Breeze.

Gilliard started the program in the late 1990s to help older members of the community deal with the summer heat.

The owner of Summit Worx, John Ledbetter, helped to unload the units for the cause.
