The short answer: Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday, which makes this the best Halloween Mount Pleasant has had in years. The dates announced so far: Trick or Treat on the Yorktown, Saturday, Oct 17, 5:30–7 PM · the town's Trunk or Treat at Carolina Park, Friday, Oct 30, 4:30–7 PM · the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch on five weekends from Sept 25 through Nov 1, Fri–Sun 10 AM–7 PM, $15 for ages 3 and up · and after-dark ghost tours on the USS Yorktown most evenings in October, about 90 minutes, $39 adults and $29 for kids 4–12. Boone Hall Fright Nights is not coming back — it ended for good this year. Worth planning around. Trick-or-treating doesn't compete with a school night, the restaurants and bars will run full Saturday service, and the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch is open that whole weekend — Friday Oct 30, Saturday Oct 31, and Sunday Nov 1 — so you can do the patch in the afternoon and the neighborhood at dusk. The last time Halloween landed on a Saturday, the Old Village was shoulder-to-shoulder by 6 PM. Plan to park early and walk in.
Patriots Point's family event aboard the USS Yorktown: trick-or-treating on the ship plus a costume contest. It's the one Halloween event in town that happens on an aircraft carrier, which is a sentence most towns don't get to write. At 40 Patriots Point Road. Ticket pricing for 2026 hadn't been posted as of this update — it was free last year — so check patriotspoint.org before you go.
The town's own trunk-or-treat, run by Mount Pleasant Recreation at the Carolina Park Soccer Fields on Recreation Way. Trick-or-treating car to car, a DJ, a photo booth, a petting zoo, and food concessions. This is the big one for families with little kids, and it's the night before Halloween — so you can do both.
Towne Centre normally runs a fall festival with a pet costume contest, live music, and trick-or-treating at the shops, usually on a Saturday late in October. As of this update Towne Centre hasn't announced a 2026 date — their events page still shows last year's. We'll add it here the day it's posted. Worth knowing what is on their October calendar in the meantime: Live Under The Oaks runs every Thursday starting Oct 1, Play Dayz is Tuesday Oct 6 from 10 AM–12 PM, and the Pink Promenade is Saturday Oct 10, 11 AM–1 PM.
The big one, and in its 30th year. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 AM–7 PM, $15 for ages 3 and up with children 2 and under free alongside an adult. The Starling Chevrolet corn maze, tractor-pulled hay rides through themed scenes, pig races, a petting zoo, mini-golf, live circus acts, and pumpkins by the field-full.

With Fright Nights gone, the Yorktown is the closest thing Mount Pleasant has to a haunted attraction — and it's a real one. Bulldog Tours runs evening ghost tours aboard the ship with access to areas that are closed during the day, including the flight deck after dark. About 90 minutes, $39 for adults and $29 for kids 4–12, free for 3 and under, leaving from Patriots Point at 40 Patriots Point Road. These book out through late October — reserve well ahead, especially for Halloween weekend.
The Old Village is the destination. It has been for decades: short blocks, big porches, sidewalks the whole way, and houses that go all-in. Pitt Street and the streets off it get genuinely crowded on Halloween night, and on a Saturday it'll be more so. Park farther out than you think you need to and walk in — most people start around 5:30 and it's busiest from 6 to 8.
The big neighborhoods run their own thing. Park West, Carolina Park, Belle Hall, Rivertowne and I'On all trick-or-treat within the neighborhood, usually with a few streets that decorate seriously and a handful of driveway setups. If you don't live in one, the Old Village is the friendlier bet — the neighborhood events are for residents and their guests.

Halloween on a Saturday means the weekend happy hours matter. Dog & Duck runs 4–7 PM daily at both locations, SAVI Cucina's bar starts at 3 PM seven days a week, and Opal does a sharp 4–5 PM window every day — those three are your Saturday options. Costume parties get announced late around here; we flag them in the Monday newsletter as they're posted.

Boone Hall Fright Nights is over. After roughly 22 years, Boone Hall has said the haunted attraction won't return — rising costs and a shift toward family programming. The Pumpkin Patch got the investment instead. If Fright Nights was your October tradition, the Yorktown ghost tours are the closest thing left in Mount Pleasant.
